Daniela, a Swiss national (she's from Hegi, a suburb of Winterthur in the canton of Zurich) is a graphic designer by training who blows off a little steam with a Husqvarna model 5230, "a monster of a machine," by her admission.
 
Chris, a Las Vegas escapee, is a writer/photographer for the automotive publishing industry. When inspiration strikes (or parts break), he can be found working on one of his stable, which includes pre-war Fords, air-cooled VWs, and balloon-tire bikes.
 
Daniela and Chris live in a cottage-style A-frame on Camano Island, a little dot in what Kurt Cobain so quaintly called the "disease-covered Puget Sound." They share their pad with five rabbits (Hasenpfeffer, Jellyfish, Marzipan, Rocket, and Hazel) and the rabbits' pet cat, Andre.

Kristen Rask, owner/curator of Seattle’s Schmancy, invited Daniela to showcase her work at the upcoming annual Plush You! exhibit. This is really cool; it’s an invite-only exhibition populated with some of the best plushy creators in the world … and now one humble island bumpkin.
