I’ve been making jewelry in some form or other for 20 years, but my favorite tools are fire and a hammer. Loud and hot, that’s me! I mainly work in fine silver (.999% pure – no alloys, which means little-to-no tarnishing), sterling silver and copper, fusing, soldering, forging and planishing each piece to bring out its perfect shape and texture.
I like simpler designs (although I’m not averse to occasionally going crazy with beads, gemstones and wire) - the circle shows up frequently in my work, whether it’s a reference to infinity or ouroboros or just because I like the shape!
