I've been a huge fan of textiles my entire life. Sewing, weaving, silk screen, batik, and finally my knitting! As a recent knitter, I've taken to it with a passion. In fact, it's become my most addictive craft. I love it's portability and simplicity. My previous understanding of clothing construction really lends itself to creating the most confortable sweaters you'll ever wear!
Things that make me smile...a peck on the cheek, the sweet smiles of my children, the perfect latte, a cold dog nose good morning, anything shiny, baby alpaca, mountains on the horizon, my chirpy kitty, a good chat with a friend over a cup of tea, la-la-la-la laughter, raspberry jam on biscuits, thread, ribbons and trim, twirpy birdies, sewing fast, riding a bike down hill, a book you can't put down, flannel quilts, lazy Sundays, the occasional sale on Etsy, found change, snow days, and knitting in the round.
