Artist Caitlin Dundon is known for her trademark handwritten script and colorful acrylic paintings on wood. Born in Rochester, New York in 1967, she was encouraged at a young age to write, draw and paint. Dundon graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design. She also studied advertising and painting in London through Syracuse University's Department of International Programs Abroad and spent a short time at the Rhode Island School of Design. She moved to Seattle in 1989 and worked as a graphic designer and production manager before starting her career as a painter and calligrapher.

Her designs have been published as posters, greeting cards, plaques, wall tiles, journals and cotton throws, some featuring the artist's own original text. She has recently started illustrating for publications. Her most recent project for Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, is Good Fortune, by young author Noni Carter, a juvenile fiction title being published in 2010.
Dundon's work has appeared in Letter Arts Magazine, Seattle Magazine, Seattle Business Monthly, Seattle Bride, Manhattan Bride and The Frye Art Museum. She has been featured on television on an episode of The Style Fyle, with Kerry Damiano reporting, Seattle Channel's City-A-Go-Go, with Nancy Guppy reporting, and mentioned in the Washington Post. Corporate clients have included Seattle Children's Hospital, Swedish Hospital, Seattle Symphony, DAR Cars Toyota of Maryland, and Classical King FM.
