Mix It Up! Dimensional Collage

Art is messy! And so much fun. In this workshop we will experiment with several techniques for creating layers and textures and adding embellishments. Using household materials, we will make colorful painted layers from paint, templates, and paper towels; printing blocks from corks and Styrofoam; textures with forks, sponges, mesh, pebbles, skewers, tissue paper, glue; repetitive images with rubber stamps; and transfers from packing tape. Materials will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring things from home, too. Bringing a rubber brayer is recommended. Dress to mess! Suitable for beginners and seasoned artists. Please bring a lunch or $ for local take-out.
