Sea Glass

Lisa Baker

I’ve been making jewelry in some form or other for 20 years, but my favorite tools are fire and a hammer. Loud and hot, that’s me! I mainly work in fine silver (.999% pure – no alloys, which means little-to-no tarnishing), sterling silver and copper, fusing, soldering, forging and planishing each piece to bring out its perfect shape and texture.

The word sucree is French for sweet or sugary. Growing up in Maine, my grandfather had a maple sugar camp which is called a sucrerie in French. I spent much of my childhood there playing in the woods with my cousins and eating maple taffy. It's influence on my life is significant which is why I named my jewelry collection Sucree.

Juliet Chase

Juliet is a native Northwesterner and thrilled to have a great excuse to go beach combing (jewelry supplies!) and hiking (photography subjects!) With some blogging thrown into the mix, she left boredom behind in that beige corporate cubicle and doesn't think it will be back.

Any spare time goes to gardening, house restoration and volunteering as a child advocate.
