Jordan Martin

I am a long time artist living in a cabin in forest on an island smack dab in the middle of Lake Washington.

I am focusing on selling two kinds of work on Etsy, one cooking tools, the other sculpture, with some other original art thrown in occasionally.

I make everything myself with found or recycled materials. No items are exactly alike. My wood comes from fallen trees, my firewood pile, roadsides, and beaches. Other found objects I gather on urban and wild walks.

For my cooking tool line I carve utensils and carve or turn bowls on a lathe.

Urban & Amy continue to develop work based on images of everyday and iconic objects as well as familiar views of the city they inhabit. Though their work is never figurative it often suggests our presence via the objects and environments we utilize.

Urban & Amy is an ongoing collaboration between Amy Bengtson and Urban Guy Allen.
Amy Bengtson is an independent designer of fashion accessories based in Seattle. She’s a willful dropout from the world of Architectural design though she spent good money and time getting that degree.
